what a week!!!!

just came back from kuantan end of November...have to rush for MSC comic pitch..
pas tu
rush 2nd week goin to Kedah...the next week peKOMIK meeting,,and a week after 3 days marathon @ Cineleasure for Scifi & Fantasy festival..also don't forget the 24hr comic day..

letih..woo..

its kinda fun...but i do learn somethng,,as age catching up to 30..you are not strong and energatic as what you used to be..

serius babe..ni br nak mencecah angka 30..not yet 40..and some say.."life begins @ 40"..

some great stuff i took from the last 3 weeks..

no need to go to San Diego Comicon...Cineleasure pun kira ok,,pa...nuff said.

PeKOMIK unofficial meeting

What A response!!
Alhamdullilah..
more than 45 people came for the meeting (not including for those who didn't sign the attendance sheet)..

a meeting is held to set up a body/association of Malaysian Komiks Association..or known as "Persatuan KOmik Malaysia" aka PeKOMIK.. to promote and push Malaysian Komik Scene to boldly go where no other Malaysian comic has gone before...

the meeting took place for about 3 hrs..n a half...not includng 1 hr delay ( i hope the meeting is worth waiting)...

so we..finally up to conlusion on the PeKOMIK organisation chart...and here are pict of particapants of the meeting:

Malaysian komiks in the 80s

back then in the late 70's n 80's...

there is one publisher called Mediaseni..who published..about 100 titles and more within 10 years or so...not considering the pirate version of the comic..

pitty..

what i have here is the small version..which the pirated version of the comic.. called

my comic pitch

last week bz ngan werk office,..some overdue documentation, preparation for Malaysian Komik Association.. ngan work for MSC comic pitch.. pastu 3 days at Kuala Nerang, Kedah

in a way ..my preparation for comic pitch...sempat 1 week jer..

(in 3 days sleep for 3-4hrs only...tak larat dahhh)

dunno if i can win the grand or not...a rush work...

I just got back from Kuantan last Friday..
just had my shower that night,

suddenly...

Heard the message tone......received an sms - nothing special.....
But, this one IS special :)

"Saya di KL- nak lunch esok sabtu..12:30?"

Lo and behold!!!! Did God just gave me the greatest Raya green packet or what?!
I jumped in full joy (the towel still intact around my sexy waist)... was so happy and so very EXCITED (my wife's favourite word for this is "TERUJA"-learnt it from one of the Cerekarama on TV3)..it is not easy to get to see him...he is a very busy man...and very seldom would he come down to KL ( he lives in Ipoh).

Usually, i'm the one who'd be trying to see him...and would run around like a crazy chicken on a farm- trying to catch him during events/seminars/special occassion....

I was beaming in my bed....it feels like i'm dreaming...."could this be real?" (the silly smile still on my face....)

so we had lunch (my wife tagging along -she was sooooo..."TERUJA"...been collecting his work since she was 9).....chit-chat...talked about his new project...local comic scene...learnt lots of stuff from him..showed him my latest work for his comments n advice..etc..

Discussed about setting up the Comic Association and bringing the local comic scene to a new height.....n he personally like to start a club first...instead of an association.......coz...he was involved in a Cartoon organization before.....lots of story from him.....will let you guys know the details soon.....

and his latest news..

Now 'Kampung Boy' is available for American and Canadian market....and he personally pass a copy to me ...with his autograph!!!

it's the most stupendous edition..coz it's not sold here in MAlaysia..

finally.. i'm gone from my previous office..
now i'm with a new company...i will involve with animation production,,and on 2D animation acdemic side....and i have more time to draw....either comic or preprodction art..

wahhh...in a new office.,, and i'm being put outstation at Kuantan, Pahang,,teaching short course programme on 2D animation...

the program is very good....the students gain a lot of knowledge n sponsored by the governmnt..
